God is calling us beyond the
borders of our community to serve others. Starting with the initial talks to
create the church this has been a core value. Over the past few years this has
manifest itself in several ways.
- A commitment to tithe 10%
of the church’s income to missions. Through this we support many diverse
outreach organizations and missionaries.
- Building a home for a
Family left homeless by Katrina.
- Weeklong trips to work
with missionaries on the Texas-Mexican Border. Next Trip TBA- See Judi DeFiccio or Ken Long for details
- Other discreet projects
within our community which meet the needs of our neighbors
- Finding ways for children,
youth and adults to participate in real and meaningful ways including Missions
Nights and other events.
God’s Word clearly tells us we
are to share the Good News with all people. As we serve people’s physical needs
we also want to be a spiritual witness of holiness in Christ.
